LA MALOUINE
LA MALOUINE is a century-old nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the performing arts in the community of Saint-Malo de Guersac. Each year, we organize six theatrical performances at the Cinémalouine, featuring a diverse and intergenerational troupe of youth (ages 10 to 16) and adults.

Our Mission
LA MALOUINE is a nonprofit arts and culture association dedicated to making theater accessible to all through intergenerational participation. Our mission is to foster creativity, confidence, and community engagement by offering young people and adults a welcoming stage to express themselves. Through our annual performances and cultural programming, we aim to keep the theatrical tradition alive while nurturing new talent and encouraging the joy of shared artistic experience.

Our History
Founded over a century ago, LA MALOUINE has been a cultural cornerstone in Saint-Malo de Guersac. From its origins as a local community initiative, it has evolved into a celebrated nonprofit organization that honors the legacy of amateur theater. Over the decades, generations have taken the stage at the Cinémalouine, contributing to a rich tradition of storytelling, humor, and collaboration. Our enduring presence speaks to the passion and commitment of our members and audiences alike.

What We Do
LA MALOUINE organizes theatrical productions that bring together actors of all ages, especially youth from 10 to 16 years old and adult performers. Each season, we prepare and present six shows at the Cinémalouine, offering accessible cultural events to the local community. Our association also supports the development of public speaking, stagecraft, and teamwork, providing a fun and educational environment for participants to grow as individuals and artists.
Key Activities
Our main activities revolve around rehearsals, stage production, costume and set design, and live performances. We produce six plays each year, all held at the Cinémalouine, showcasing the talents of our multigenerational cast. Beyond the stage, our group engages in team-building workshops, creative writing sessions, and technical theater training, helping participants explore all aspects of theater. These key activities foster artistic skills and intergenerational learning.
Upcoming Events
Our 2025 season promises a vibrant selection of performances, ranging from comedy to drama, all presented by our talented youth and adult actors. Join us at the Cinémalouine for an unforgettable evening of community theater. Details on show dates, ticket reservations, and special events like open rehearsals and backstage tours will be available on our website and social media. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience local talent in action!

Success Stories
Over the years, LA MALOUINE has helped countless young people build self-confidence, find their voice, and even pursue careers in the arts.
